Canada eTA Online Application

WHO NEEDS TO APPLY FOR AN ETA?

An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) provides authorization to travel to and enter Canada by air for short-term stays, tourism, transit or business visitor activities.

British passport holders or those holding a passport from a visa-exempt country who are planning a short-term stay or transiting through Canada are required to obtain an eTA to enter Canada by air.

It is valid for up to five years or until the passport expires and is electronically linked to the passport.

With a valid eTA, you can enter Canada as often as you like for short visits, usually up to six months each time.

Travelers without a British or visa-exempt passport (including UK BRP holders) are not eligible for an eTA and require a standard visa.
